It’s true…none of our guest cabins have electricity and although it may sound impossible it is often said to be our strongest plus. Propane gas lights provide ample reading light. Propane also heats the hot water needs. There is electricity at the main camp where there are outlets available for recharging portable devices.
There is cell service nearby but not around camp…another of the features that people have come to love about the place. We do have a pay phone available and can always take a message for you from the business phone.
There is an Ethernet cable available for Internet access at main camp. We utilize a satellite service with limited bandwith so if you need to move large files, there are locations nearby with wireless service.
Most reservations are Saturday to Saturday but we offer shorter stays if it fits your needs. Please be aware there are events planned and a flow to the week based on the Saturday arrival.
We have cabins to accommodate two to eight people. Best to call or email and discuss your needs.
Our cabins are all a bit different and we find that our guests develop favorites for many reasons. Best for first timers to take what’s available and then explore other cabins on Saturday departure.
Yes. All cabins have a lake view.
All cabins with baths have hot and cold water, toilets, showers and sinks. Cabins without baths share a “trailjohn”
Our terrain is challenging with lots of hills and stairs and access to the cabins is by gravel footpath. We have hosted many elderly and handicapped guests but they are aware of the challenges involved.
We serve three meals a day on our open air dining porch, American Plan, one menu. Lots of fresh, home cooked dishes with vegetarian options at each meal. We can deal with most special diets but ask that you let us know ahead of time what your needs are.
Upon confirming your reservation we send you a suggested what to bring list. Please see more information here.
Impossible to say. We are at 1700 feet elevation surrounded by mountains and can have anywhere from 40 to 80 degrees during June through October.
Yes. Typically in June temperatures will be in the 60’s and later in August in the 70’s. Indian Lake is very healthy and great for swimming.
Yes, they are typically around in May and early June but can be present later in the summer given the right conditions. The Town of Indian Lake treats the streams with a biological control that reduces their numbers but does not eliminate them. With some simple precautions normal outside activities can be enjoyed.
Sorry, but we do not allow guests to bring their pets.
Our own design, a tentlet is a small two-person tent shaped cabin on the waters edge.
A bathroom in a separate building with toilet, sink and shower with hot water.
